Covid-19不经意间已经攻陷了我们安静祥和的社区。Westchester 确诊数日日攀高，已突破1000大关。纽约告急，Westchester 告急! 

守护好我们的医院和弱势群体是此次防疫的重中之重，决定此次战疫的最终成败。前线抗疫的医护人员防护设备严重不足，后方年老体弱者没有基本防护，腹背受敌，如何制胜？

南威郡华人社区向所有人大声疾呼：守护家园，刻不容缓。守护我们的守护者，关爱我们的身边人，请加入我们的抗疫募捐，所有筹款所得用于采买防疫必需的物资(口罩，防护服，眼罩等)捐献给医院，社区老人中心，警局和需要的单位。

首批物资已预订到N95口罩5000个，一次性医用口罩10,000个。一位热心的Rye Brook居民已经毫不犹豫地预付了总计$23,500的全部款项，货到后将以最快的速度递送到最需要他们的人们手里。

守护家园，刻不容缓，覆巢之下，安有完卵。为了可爱的孩子们早日回归校园，为了将更多邻居安全送回他们的亲人身边，为了身边的老人能在阳光下悠闲散步，也为了我们自己的小家能恢复往日的欢声笑语，

Over the past few weeks, the rapidly developing outbreak of Covid-19 has upended our lives in an unprecedented way. The number of confirmed cases,  both locally and statewide, is doubling and tripling daily, leading to school shutdowns, business closures, and state lockdowns.

While many of us can take precautionary measures by working from home and practicing social distancing, healthcare workers, first responders, and urgent childcare givers are at the frontline grappling with this pandemic. As they continue to work around the clock, the dire shortage of personal protective gear is making their job impossible and putting their lives at risk. 

To help combat the current health crisis, we have set up a fund to supply protective gear to local institutions, businesses, and individuals in need of them. Through reliable sources, we have secured supplies worth $23,500 from a certified vendor in New Canaan, CT (the vendor imported from China). This order includes 5000 N95 masks and 10,000 disposable medical masks that will be donated to hospitals and departments that remain open. A Rye Brook resident has kindly paid for these masks so that they can be shipped to the U.S. immediately. We invite you to join our effort and consider donating to the fund via the link below. Any amount will be welcomed and appreciated. 

Part of the donations will be used to pay the Rye Brook resident who helped to purchase the first shipment of masks. The remaining fund will be dedicated to ordering more protective equipment in support of the personnel at higher stakes of being infected. 

Now is the time for us to come together to take part in safeguarding the safety and well-being of the community at large. Lend our help to those who are combating the virus and still working to keep our life going.  

We are all in this, and we will get through this together. When we defeat this pandemic, kids will run freely in the parks again, friends will visit, hug and laugh with one another, and families will go explore the nature and cities. But now, let’s act and make an impact.
